ELECTRIC VIEW
Every responsible breeder must take all necessary actions and measures to provide quality and healthy litter. Since we know that we can still get a dog / dogs with problems, the point is that genetic disease is not carried forward purposely so we need to take the breeding task conscientiously and responsibly. Before buying a puppy it’s important to know how to distinguish “breeders” from breeders because A GOOD DOG’S LIFE STARTS WITH A RESPONSIBLE BREEDER.
According to Croatian Kennel Club (HKS) these are things that bull terrier must have for breeding: breeding licence and socialization test for bull type terriers. Even though they are not mandatory in Croatian Kennel Club (HKS) all electric dogs in breeding program are checked for patella, heart conditions, kidney conditions (UPC and PKD), hearing (BAER).
Having a registered kennel is not a guarantee of quality for itself. Breeder is a person who is committed to the interests of the breed making results of which reinforces their credibility. It is very important to be credible breeder, aka the one whose results and achievements speak for themselves.
RAISING A BULL TERRIER
ELECTRIC VIEW
You will often hear and read the famous sentence “Bull Terriers are special dogs for special people.” The Bull Terrier is a good-natured, but outrageous circus clown full of fire and unpredictable in his spiteful ways so he must learn where the boundaries are. He is always ready for action and good humor, often irritating in his stubbornness but you need to be even more stubborn, consistent and rigorous but fair leader!
Bull Terrier will be happier with an active family where he is involved in most activities with members of his human family. When left alone he will destroy everything that comes near his nose if you don’t give him enough attention and physical and mental training on a daily basis. They are possessive over toys and food so it’s very important to teach your BT how to let you take anything from his strong mouth. He must be a dog who is open with everybody, friendly even to strangers and great with children.
A Bull Terrier should be good natured, loving to all humans, tolerant of abuse to a point of stupidity, and although never completely trustworthy with other animals, should be of a fairly even disposition towards them. When creating the breed Hinks preferred dogs who were gentlemen companions, dogs for show ring, not for fighting ring. From the very beginning the breed was recognizable by never provoking a fight but if provoked enough, finishes the fight. Bull Terriers are now appreciated as a comic, playful, intelligent but stubborn pets for experienced owners.
